These straps work great! I used them to haul a kayak on my roof rack and the held it in place perfectly. The spring lock on the hooks is a nice feature to help keep the hooks from slipping off before everything is tightened. They feel well made and seem like they’ll last me a long time. The soft case they come in is a nice touch for keeping them organized in one place in the back of my car.

I got these to tied down boats for the Sea Scouts. They come in a nice carrying case. This should help keep the straps from getting tangled when not in use.The bright color will make it harder to lose them.I doubt that we will use the little loop straps.These straps have a limited capacity. But that is fine for our intended use.

    Easy to use! If you own an SUV with roof racks and need to haul something from “The Fix It” store these are great for securing the load.Also works with anything you need to tie down. Highly recommended and always keep a set in the spare tire well. Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

    !!! UPDATE!!contacted the seller and they immediately sent me replacement straps- entire thing was quick an painless! Will def be ordering with them in future.ALSO- no other straps seem to have any issues whatsoever. :)Came quickly and in a nice little bag.Product was easy to use and seemed to be of good quality . Used once before this happened to this strap. Did not even tighten it very much and it just busted- maybe a bad stitch? Unsure.Contacted seller to see about replacement .

    1. the hooks have clips on them to keep them from falling out of the secure point while you’re arranging the straps to be tightened – soooooo much easier, and the clips don’t cause a problem in fastening or disconnecting… 2. the ratchet system is very smooth, tightens securely, and releases without having to fight it… 3. the 4 atch loops are great! (using them for a motorcycle, but would work well to create atch points on a variety of “things”, as long as they have 360d access and aren’t much bigger than about 3″ – iow can put a loop around)… 4. nice bag to keep the straps in when not in use (could actually make it worthwhile to wrap the straps)…

    I have LOTS of ratcheting straps from many different makers. Most are fine and do the job, but its the little things that makes the difference. These straps have those little things that makes them just a little more functional and user friendly.1) WIRE GATES – the wire gates on the hooks just makes sense. I have always had the problem using the in-bed hold downs that are WAY down in the bed (always behind things that makes it just out of reach) and after you get everything hooked up on both sides and threaded together and pull tension…one side fell off the tie down, how frustrating. The wire gates ELIMINATES that frustration2) EXTRA LONG RATCHET END STRAPS – it doesn’t sound like its a big deal but of you use the truck bed tie downs, they are a ways away. If the ratchet end is only 6” long in total, even if you hook it in first, it has no where to hang. Having the straps that are about 12-18” usually is long enough to to get to the top of the bed so you can hang it there until you get the other side hooked up.3) BUILT IN LOOPS – another small but almost always missed feature. To have a place to hook or loops available to larksfoot around an anchor point on the hook ends. Many times, the designated tie down pinots areen’t quite where you need it. Being able to larks foot or hook onto itself just makes the strap SO much more versatile.Overall, no real complaints. The webbing is supple and seems adequately thick for their rating. The ratchet mechanism is smooth and the release is easily initiated. A carry bag is always a nice touch, but inevitably they all end up in a little backpack in the back of my truck. The listing touts that the hooks are large, I find them slightly larger than the ones I have on the lowest rated set of straps so I don’t think that point is all that relevant.

    What a nice strap kit! I mean that. it ticks a lot of boxes including some I did not expect and appreciate.First its a 4 strap kit in a dedicated case. LOVE the case. I am to the point where I won’t buy something if it does not have a case unless there is no alternative.Then bonus. it comes with the double loop straps (Just bought those seperately did not know it came with them)and they work just as wonderfully as I expected (see video)you use them to insure the strap stays attached or to create an attachment point on something that otherwise has no attachment point for the hook to grab ontodecent quality nice long straps. I do wish the metal for the ratchet was a little thicker. its more than thick enough to do the job but thicker would be stiffer and more resilient and make the user experience betterWould also like to see hook and loop straps built in for wrapping up and storing them. these make it so much easier.LOVE the latch closures on the hooks as well insurance a reasonable secure connection so even if they loosen up they are less likely to move or worse fall off.Overall one of the best all around strap kits I have. I want it in orange 🙂

    Works but not the quality I was expecting. Quality and feel of the nylon not much different from the 400lb Harbor Freight ratchets but more strength. It will work for securing our dirt bike(s) but wouldn’t be using it for larger bikes.

    The spool only holds a couple yards of strapping. So, the overall length is only adjustable by that amount. I had to cut them all down so that I would have 4 different lengths depending on what I was strapping down. Otherwise it would have been a 4 star review.

    Works pretty well. They do wear thin a little faster than I had hoped. I use it to strap a 400Lbs. linen tub to a golf cart and take it uphill. I use 2 straps for security. So 2 if the straps are already showing slight signs of tearing after 2 months.

    Vehiclex Ratchet Tie Down StrapsI’ve purchased probably 50 of similar straps in the last 20 years because I use my pickup for everything and everyone. I’m also lazy so the cargo straps I use end up in the weather forever and rust away. My immediate likes on these straps is the little clip on the hooks. It’s so irritating to hook the strap on one side of the truck, move to the other side to engage the other strap only to have the first hook come undone. Well no more with these beauties! That’s going to save me dozens of trips back and forth around the truck muttering curses and kicking things. I’ll probably have to take up a new hobby with all the time I’m going to save.The other feature on these straps I like is the rubber on the release mechanism. It makes releasing the straps feel natural. Some of the really cheap straps from the big box stores just have a hunk of metal there.Lastly, the material seems pretty solid and is a nice bright color. I’ve lost black straps so many times that I might as well throw them out the window onto the highway to save some time.As far as the ratchet mechanisms, I think they are about average. I’ve had thicker metal ones in the past but these will hold enough for my needs. The way I use them they get weathered and destroyed before the gears will ever wear out.The case these come in is a nice touch as are the extra loop things that I’ll forget are there.Definitely a great set of straps. I recommend them.

    This is a great set of ratcheting straps well worth the price tag. I love how the set comes in a pouch. That’s just awesome. This set also comes with 4 short straps that will definitely come in handy. There are 4 ratcheting straps also. The straps are extra long and the width is perfect. They work great. I do not need to use these on anything yet but was itching to see how well they work. So as you can see in the pictures I hooked them up to some old fence posts in my yard and went to work. They operate smoothly. I put tremendous torque on these and they still worked like new each time. Now I wasn’t trying to break them so I didn’t try to take them to failure but I did put a lot of torque on these straps. I put more force on these than what normal usage would and they held up great. These are not your type of ratcheting straps that will come apart or break after your first use or after your 20th use. These straps work great and they hold up. This is a set worth having in your truck or garage. I highly recommend these.

The single best newer style feature of these is the carabiner wire gate style security clip; if nothing else, it holds it in place until you have time to tighten up the straps.Recommendations: Inspect your tie down straps annually, and repair or retire any suspect equipment.Pros: Includes a nice carry bag; nice fit & finish (stitching); security clips on the hooks; nice bright neon green straps.Cons: None.Conclusion: 5-stars, based on similar cost ($30) compared to other +4-star offers.

    Ratchet straps are not tool that I enjoy using. Every time I use a ratchet strap I find myself getting frustrated easily. For this reason, I’ll even decide not to tie certain items down because I just don’t want to be put into a bad mood because of a ratchet strap. I’m happy to say that I found some ratchet straps that I’m not hesitant to use and here’s why.• They come in a zipper case so they aren’t in the a tangled mess that resembles a plate of spaghetti!• The handle of the straps has a rubber grips so I’m not cutting my hand on metal.• The S Hook has a strong spring loaded clip to keep it from coming loose.• The straps are a neon green so I can see them well and don’t have to worry about tripping over them.I also want to mention that these ratchet straps are 15 feet long and have a 2200 lb break strength. I highly recommend these ratchet straps. If you own a pickup truck then they are a 100% necessity! Even if you only use these once and the one time you used them they saved you from losing a load that would have blown out of the back of your truck and cost you several hundred dollars, then they are well worth buying.I have also included pictures and a video that include additional information and that you may find helpful.

    When I review something I always ask myself would I buy it again and yes I would buy these again.I use these straps alot cause I’m always buying and trading cars or car parts. So I need to tie stuff down from hoods to doors shut. I keep these with me in the truck. The case actually helps out since I have a place to store them. Usually I have them in the back in the bed or in the back floor board.I also like how long these straps are which comes in handy. These things are 15 foot long. The hooks are bigger and have this clip thing on it so you can put the strap through the hook instead of having to tie it around which is a headache when removing them.It’s funny how the simple things have such a effect on things. Something as simple as a case takes alot of the headache out of storage in your truck.Obviously these are not for Automobiles but ment to use on 4wheelers, stuff you carry in your trailer or truck.1st thing I done was check the stitching on them. That’s the last thing you want to happen going down the interstate is for a strap to break. Trust me I’ve been there and done that and it’s not any fun lol.I’ve had a hood fly up on the trailer and bust my window and cowl panel. All because the cowl hood didn’t latch and I never had a ratchet strap holding it down. A costly mistake I’ll never make again.Anyways if you haul alot of big struff or automobile parts I’d look into these it you want a good set.

    This is the first set of ratchet straps I’ve purchased that actually come with a case. I always have a set of straps in the vehicle in case I need them, but after I take them out of the packaging they always go everywhere. This really helps to keep my car looking organized.The hook is thick and strong. I really like the lock on them so I can run them through soft tie down straps and not have to worry about them falling off while I’m ratcheting.The material of the strap feels very solid. I locked a workbench to the truck and really ratcheted it down to make sure it wouldn’t move, and it held up without issue.Overall great straps.Highly recommended.

    This set is like an imaginary person who holds your load in the trunk or on the move. We have moved the whole 3 bedroom apt and this thing probably saved my broken back. It is so much easier lifting a laundry machine with these loops around(I am talking about 1 person lift). It provides grip where you need it, can also be used on the pickup truck.     Everything one needs to tie down one, quad, bike, or side by side. Very handy set in a storage bag. The double loop straps are great for a surface that you do not want to scratch. Then the metal hooks are kept away from machine, because of double loop strap. The bright green makes it easier to see. This helps with the tripping hazard. The straps are simple to work.     I can never have too many of these and I always seem to lose some each year. I am very glad I ordered these straps – these are great straps. They are well made – they are sturdy, the stitching is strong, the ratchet and release work well. I also prefer the Closed S Hook design as it makes it easier to secure items and hook while anchoring. They are also long at 15ft and the rubber handled ratchet is a nice feature. The carrying bag is also convenient to keep these all together either in my garage or back of the truck. Great tie-downs!

    Nice high-quality tie down strap set. You get 4 fifteen foot tie downs with a closed hook on one end and the ratchet on the other. There is another short ratchet and hook combo and an extra length of strap. The ratchets appear to be solid construction and the straps are well-sewn. Comes in a zippered cloth carrying case, so you can keep it in the trunk. Handy and well-made.

    It did a great job for rolling my mattress. Just used two of the straps and I rolled the mattress easily with my self.Without the instructions its easy to figure out how to use this. A little bit rigid when releasing it, but I think its not a big issue. The strap is pretty long and with extension. Green color looks great. 4 straps was in a cute bag. Every satisfied.

So pretty useless.Update: This seller contacted me very quickly regarding the missing pieces and said they have sent a replacement.I received not only the pieces they sent me a whole new one.     Straps have manufacturers tag 1760 lb. break strength. These straps and ratchets are exactly like an other different brand cheaper strap set that I own. The hooks have a better shape and the closed keeper which is very good to have. If the load settles causing the strap to become loose, it won’t unhook. The hooks are the same diameter steel dipped in thick plastic. The thick plastic quickly sheers off of the hooks leaving them to rust. Hope this review helps.

    Order was received promptly and looks very well constructed and sewn, can not judge ease of use or durability until after my summer travels are over……will update then.After using the tie downs I found that the ratchet strap to tie down point is very long….making it unusable on my Harley Soft tail Heritage…and the security clip on one of the hooks somehow wound up on the outside of hook.These would probably be fine for a dirt bike with a high frame, but I can only use them to secure the front end to ensure it can’t back out of mount.

    Haven’t used them yet but like everyone else they advertise heavy duty rachet then they show up with the same light weight metal as every other brand (non of these companies know what heavy duty is) the straps appear to be light weight and don’t give me a lot of confidence they won’t break while transporting motorcycles. In my case on the back of a tow truck where if a strap breaks the bike would fall off the truck. When I do use them I plan on double strapping both sides. I have lots of straps because I keep falling for the advertised heavy duty and getting (Harbor freight).I guess these companies have never seen a heavy duty ratchet and I have broke thin straps (not these so far) just tightening them with cheap bendable ratchets not giving me a lot of confidence.

    I got these to lash a spare tire, recovery equipment, and luggage to a rooftop carrier on a Rover. So far, the product looks very good. The hooks with safety latches are especially nice. All parts seem high quality. The ratchet works smoothly and tightens easily. It also releases with little difficulty. I’ll be trail testing them over the next several weeks. If I don’t post any regrets by mid November (2019) you’ll know they worked well on mountain and desert 4×4 trails rated up to level 6.

    OK, looking at the description they call it a “clip” whatever, it works. I think all ratchet straps should have a “clip” to secure the hook. It’s not always possible to secure a load where the line won’t ever slack, the clip prevents the hook from falling off for when the line is taught again.I have noticed a bit of rust on the springs after a few months. No impact to function yet, so i’ll leave it at 5 stars until they stop ratcheting or something.At a 2k lb rating per strap, that’s 8k lb of holding if you use all four, plenty of strength to hold any household load on a truck or trailer.The bag and other straps are just a bonus in my eyes. The little loop straps are so you can wrap around a motorcycle bar or frame and not scratch it, nice. The bag I thought was a waste, but I really like cramming it all in there and keeping it together, it will bulge the bag after you unpack from the factory, but it all still fits fine.In any case, I bought a 2nd one and have started phasing out the non-locking ratchet straps I have.

    I got this ratchet strap set to tie down my Vespa GTS 300 to its rack while I was UHauling from Sedona, AZ to Torrance, CA (almost 500 miles). After watching a a very helpful how-to video on youtube on how to ratchet my scooter down, I took two 5-hour legs of interstate driving with a layover at Blythe. These ratchets performed phenomenally! They kept my scooter safe and secure, they kept tight and steady the whole way through. After arriving to my destination, the ratchets are easy to untie and remove. These ratchets have yards of harness, the locks themselves worked like a dream, and are very easy to use. I definitely recommend, a true value for the money.

    I like snap hooks so a shifted load doesn’t lead to complete failure (straps falling off altogether). These straps are well above the cheapo orange Harbor Freight types, but much more manageable for smaller loads than the 2″ variety.     I really like these straps. So far I have purchased 7 units with each unit having 4 straps. I have used them to secure my backyard batting cage to 18″ J hook rebar stakes that I have hammered into the ground. This is to prevent my cage (poles and net) from getting blown down by the wind. I have also used a few straps to secure a vinyl cover on my boat. I like how the straps come with the tethers to attach to and also how each hook has a clip so it cannot slip off where it gets attached.     I bought this kit to keep in my truck for my dirt bike and snowmobile. The kit itself is the size of a first aid kit and easily fit under a seat. Enables me to always have them when I need them. The loops are killer for my dirt bike as I can put them around the handlebar and not have to worry about marking up any of the metal.The webbing is pretty heavy duty and the perfect width for almost everything I have to tie down. I did fray one of them on the side by having it on a sharp corner, but I would mainly mark that up as user error. I highly recommend these to all my friends and recommend them to you too.

    It was definitely easy to use, sturdy and looks like it will last long. We used it to partially fold a bed to get it down the steps of our home. I felt like Ross at one point…. PIVOT… PIVOT!!!     While I don’t think I will ever be able to get these back into the super-handy carry case provided, these are some of the best ratcheting web tie downs that I have used. They come with soft loops for various uses, and the metal ends have spring loaded safety catches to keep them from falling off.Bottom line: BUY THEM. I will certainly be buying more.

    Easy to use! If you own an SUV with roof racks and need to haul something from “The Fix It” store these are great for securing the load.Also works with anything you need to tie down. Highly recommended and always keep a set in the spare tire well. Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
